on Saturday, 25th November 2011, Sevdalinka Choir has been honoured with an award for maintaining and promoting BiH music and culture in Australia. We are proud to represent our country of origin at festivals and events in Australia and are inspired by this recognition to keep working and getting together to share in the joy of our centuries old melodies.
We are gratefull for the participation and commitment of all our members past and present and extend our thanks to all our families, friends and followers for thier continual support.

Sevdalinka Choir at the First National Festival of Choirs
held in Melbourne 10-13 June 2011 hosted by Dr Jonathon Welch AM & THE Choir
Sevdalinka Choir represented Bosnian-Herzegovinian community once again at the recently held National Festival of Choirs. Another fabulous experience, new friendships and a unique opportunity to work with renowned musicians such as Dr Jonathon Welch, Dr David Kram, George Torbay and Gordon Hamilton. We've had the opportunity to hear and see world famous The Australian Voices at their best - and what a thrill that was. If you get a chance you simply must go and see their spectacular acappella choral theatre show "MOON" - it is out of this world!
We wish to thank our hosts Dr Jonathon Welch, Jan Hamilton and THE Choir for another wonderful event and making us feel welcome once again.

Canberra Multicultural Festival 2011 - Photo Journey
